William. Yes, I got one of those kinds of shirts down in Guilin, South western China a couple years ago. The quality wasn’t so good… but I got a big BU YAO shirt and then a “I HAVE NO MONEY” shirt in Chinese. It got a few laughs! Not as much as I would’ve wanted though.

Does someone say a shirt like that that says “bu yao” in big characters on the front?

That reminds me of the time I told a hawker at the commercial mall in Shenzhen that I was deaf in Chinese.
