William, This is Mx. I totally agree. Actually it’s an education problem. My mother often told me that one day I will go to another family and I have to know how to use chopsticks properly. I don’t want to embarrass myself and my parents! Nowadays I think families don’t put as much emphasis on it like they used to.

When I arrived in China I was pleased to discover that many Chinese people have clumsy mishaps with their chopsticks as often as I do.
