WOW!  We’re really excited over here at M and MX.  One year ago on September 21st 2008 we launched the official website.  Now we have a year’s worth of comics up there to check out.  Here’s the post from one year ago.

We are officially open for business.  Well kind of.  We have nothing to sell really at this point.  But we do have lots of free cartoons.  Welcome and take a look around!

Couple things while you get started.

1.  The comic is the main thing to see at this point.  There is a new one everyday.  Just like the newspapers.

2.  The comics have something to do with China, Chinese, living in China or anything about China.  China China China.

3.  Under the comic there are buttons.

One says FIRST: that brings you to the very first comic that we did.

The other one says PREVIOUS: that goes to yesterday’s comic.

4.  There are also blogs like this one you are looking at now.  From time to time we’ll post interesting information.

5.  Our About page is really cool because we’ve got a AUDIO TOUR both in English and CHINESE!

6.  And also don’t forget you can tell us all of your crazy, wonderful, amazing, unforgettable China stories here and we’ll try to make them into a Comic!!

7.  You can post your comments and questions.  Sometimes humor doesn’t always work from language to language.  But that’s ok because SOMEONE understands the humor.  So if you don’t get it, someone else will.  Post your questions and post your answers!

WOW.  Not much has changed.  We have added our Shanghainese Podcasts which are gaining in popularity.  Then we added “Ryan Studies Chinese” videos which are really popular.  We did change the amount of comics.  There are now three per week which makes it easier for everyone to see the comics.

Some who have looked at the site might question the fact that some of our archives date back to 2004.  That’s right.  But when we made MandMX.com we put two of Magnus’s older blogs together that he had been writing since 2004.  But we started the comics one year ago today!
